No-Show Rod Snyder Too Busy to Discuss the Issues with Jefferson County Voters

October 13, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Harpers Ferry, WV – Rod Snyder did not show up for a debate with his Republican opponent, Riley Moore, for the second time in this general election.

The first debate, hosted by the Eastern Panhandle Business Association, Mr. Snyder was a no-show. He sent his Republican uncle to deliver comments in his place.

Today, despite the fact that every Democrat in Jefferson County running for the state legislature participated, Snyder ducked another debate, hosted by The Journal and WEPM.

The following quotes are attributable to Campaign Manager Phalen Kuckuck:

“Snyder owes an explanation to the voters of Jefferson County. Why won’t he debate? Why won’t he discuss the critical issues affecting the people of the 67th district? The WEPM debate today was a vital opportunity that candidates had to broadcast to the voters of Jefferson County. Snyder’s campaign is devoid of substance and responsibility to the voters of Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown and Shenandoah Junction.”
