FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Harpers Ferry, WV – The Moore for West Virginia campaign is honored to receive the endorsement of the West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA). The WVMA has endorsed Republican candidate Riley Moore for House of Delegates, District 67, in the Nov. 8 general election.
“I am proud that hardworking men and women know I will fight for their interests – this is a campaign focused on jobs and opportunity for West Virginians, and that resonates with the manufacturing industry.” said candidate Riley Moore.
The WVMA represents over 150 manufacturing companies in West Virginia. Over the next decade, 3.5 million manufacturing jobs will be created, and 2 million of those are expected to go unfilled because workers do not have the proper training.
Riley Moore has a specific proposal to combat this called the West Virginia Works Partnership. This plan will partner technical schools and colleges with private businesses to offset the cost of training workers, fostering job creation, creating more taxpayers and giving opportunity to West Virginians in Jefferson County and statewide.
“The manufacturing sector is critical to West Virginia’s comeback,” Moore said. “Having the support of our manufacturers is especially important to me, with my background as a welder, I understand the challenges our workers face,” concluded Moore.
