HUNTINGTON REGIONAL CHAMBER’S HuntPAC ENDORSES RILEY MOORE FOR WV TREASURER

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – On Monday, October 19, 2020, the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Political Action Committee, HuntPAC, announced their endorsement of Riley Moore to serve as West Virginia’s State Treasurer after the upcoming General Election.

“Riley Moore has impressed us as a proven leader with vision who brings accountability, modernization and transparency to the West Virginia’s Treasurer Office, not unlike JB McCuskey has brought to the Auditor’s Office,” said Bill Bissett, President & CEO of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Along with his support by the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce and other business groups, we see him as the right person to serve as West Virginia’s State Treasurer.”

”I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce,” said Moore. “I believe my Jump Start Savings Plan, which is a savings account for people coming out of trade and technical schools to buy tools, equipment, licensees, and certifications after graduation to jump start their career, would be a gamechanger for the working people of the Huntington region. If elected, I look forward to working with Cabell and Wayne Counties to make this a program a reality and boosting the economy to new levels. These are the kinds of new ideas I will bring to the treasurer’s office that has been controlled by one person now for nearly thirty years. It’s time to move forward our state forward in a bold new direction and demand more from our elected officials.”

The Huntington Regional Chamber is an association of more than 550 business in Cabell and Wayne Counties. For a complete list of endorsed candidates, visit https://www.huntingtonchamber.org/committees/hunt-pac/.
